Plane Stupid's new cinema ad, written and commissioned by creative agency Mother, shows the effects air travel is having on our global climate. Poor polar bears.

If I'm going to be honest, I think they should make a bigger splat on the pavement. On a more serious note, I think overall it's well executed and will become a very sucessful viral advertisement over the coming months.

GET YOUR GIG ON!

The electric safety council has teamed up with Elliot Minor to create an electric safety campaign for teenagers aged between 11-16 years of age. Although I am not the desired target audience, I can see that the method that has been employed would definitely appeal to the given demographic. It puts the fun in learning about a serious topic.

Ghetto Scanning!

I had never thought about doing this! If you're into shooting with a lomo, then this will definitely interest you.

Ghetto Scanning

I had a go at it using some slide film I developed a while back shot on my 90 odd year old Box Brownie. Some of the images are on my flickr!

Click here to have a gander.

Now I should probably go to bed. Dissertation meeting tomorrow.. wish me luck!

Radiohead - Fog (live)

I love Radiohead. They are quite simply the best live band I've ever seen (Leeds festival 2009). This video sums up exactly why I love them.

Absolutly beautiful.

Justice/Lenny Kravitz - "Let Love Rule"

Awesome music video by the very talented Keith Schofield. All I'll say is, let the credits roll..

Extreme sticky notes experiment!

Just stumbled across this video whilst researching for my D&AD project. Basically, the guys over a EepyBird have stuck several post it notes (280,951 to be exact) together to create what is best descirbed as paper slinkys! It makes what is normally deemed as a boring piece of office stationary and turns it into something fun and playful.

Check it out below!

"Music Inspired Art"

German beer brand Becks is set to release a new series of labels for their bottles. A previous project created by Becks saw things such as swans, sculptures, fine art and photography brandishing their bottles. In this new campaign, Becks are collaborating with cutting edge musicians such as Ladyhawke and Hard-Fi to produce the new artwork that takes inspiration from their music and album art work that have given them a signature sound as well as creative style.

Above is one of the initial sketches by Ladyhawke and her artist collaborator Sarah Larnach to be released in late summer. Keep your eyes peeled!

Little creative creatures!

A gorgeous student project straight out of the University of Paris VIII.

"In a black & white Paris, little creatures with paintbrush decide to brighten up the city..."

It really makes me want September to hurry up and come around so I can begin similar projects for my final year.

MTV Ident

Check out this amazing new MTV ident from Universal Everything. I think I love it so much because it reminds me of Disney and Pixar's 'Monsters Inc.' It's incredibly fun and playful and the material quality of the animation really makes the characters come to life.

Anyways, have a gander! No doubt you'll see it on MTV soooooon!

Oasis // RUBERDUCKZILLA!

Hello hello and hello! It's been a while since my last blog update, but I promise to update more frequently from now on! Starting with Oasis's new advertising campaign, 'Rubberduckzilla'

The advert itself is fantastic but it's the accompanying website that I'm in love with the most. I'm a huge Nintendo fan so the retro games are most appealing!

Go take a look at the official website HERE and stayed tuned to the blog for more updates over the summer months!

Honda // "Let it Shine" advertisement

Just came across this whilst flicking through my bookmarked websites. It's a new advertisement for Honda which sees a massive group of Honda cars arranged in a grid, each using their headlights for pixels to create patterns and images that work with their choice of song "This Little Light of Mine" by Berend Dubbe and Gwen Thomas.

The cars, I do believe, were connected to a computer that controlled it all. Regardless, it's such a interesting way of outputting retro pixelated images, particularly the scale of it all!

The new Nestle 'Aero' advert

Well, it's been a few weeks since my last blog post so I apologise for that. I've been extremely busy with Ben filming/editing/posting our D&AD student award entry!

Anyhow, I came across this the other day. It's the new Aero advert..

Don't get me wrong, I really like the way it has been shot and the balloons represent the Aero 'bubbles' almost perfectly. However, I can't help but see past this video shot a few years ago by (I believe) Jackass star Dave England.

Obviously an idea has to come from somewhere and I'm all for taking inspiration from here and there to create something new and exciting, but completely taking an idea from someone and making it your own I'm not that into.

Heigh ho! It's nice to see Bob Burnquist still tearing it up on the vert ramp!

NEW Visa 'Flow' advert

This is the new advert from Visa advert staring Bill Shannon who is a "self-taught conceptual dancer who uses his crutches to perform his incredible choreography around the world."

Check it out below. Again, it's definatly worth watching in HD because it makes everything look that much better.

TWITTER!

I've just added a widget to the blog so that you can follow me on twitter if you fancy!

That is all for now :)

COLDPLAY's new music video

I have to start by saying that I'm not a massive fan of Coldplay (except for their early stuff, that was rather good) however their latest video for the song "Life in Technicolor ii" is simply fantastic!

Check it out below :)

LOMO Fisheye

I've decided that I don't use this particular camera as much as it deserves. I've decided to try and carry it with me as much as possible!

Expect some fisheye loveliness coming this way soon!

Incredible motion desinger

Came across this motion designer earlier thanks to a random post on my twitter feed. Awesome graphics and a very interesting website design. Definatly worth a look!
